ACTIVITIES & SKILL DEVELOPMENT
FROG JUMPS
RAINBOW LANDING ZONE
JUMP & REACH CHALLENGE
TARGET JUMP
FROG JUMPS
Students squat down low and "jump like a frog" forward.
Use poly spots or hoops as "lily pads" to jump to.
Variation: Let them choose short or long jumps.
RAINBOW LANDING ZONE
Create colorful landing spots using mats or poly spots.
Students choose which color they want to jump to (near or far).
Encourages choice and goal setting.
JUMP & REACH CHALLENGE
Place ropes, lines, or cones, on the floor at different distances.
Students try to jump past each line, at their own pace.
Everyone celebrates personal achievements rather than comparing distances.
TARGET JUMP
Place a beanbag, stuffed animal, or small toy on the floor.
Students try to jump close to, or over, the target.
Seated or wheelchair option: Roll or push an object forward toward the target instead.
