Wheelchair Basketball National Championships

The 2026 National Championships will take place May 15-17, 2026, at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, B.C., as part of the inaugural OneAbility Games. Hosted by the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society, the tournament will feature men’s and women’s divisions and bring together the country’s top athletes representing their provinces in a national competition.

As part of the OneAbility Games’ ACHIEVE Stream, the championships will showcase high-performance adapted sport alongside the PLAY Stream, where school-aged youth with disabilities will be discovering and learning the joy of movement and sport. Fans and supporters can look forward to an exciting display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship as teams compete for the national title.

Senior National Goalball Championships

The 2026 CBSA Senior National Goalball Championships will take place in Richmond, BC, from May 15 to 17, 2026. The Championships will be hosted by BC Blind Sports and Recreation Association as part of the ACHIEVE Stream of the inaugural OneAbility Games.

The event will bring together men’s and women’s provincial teams from across Canada to compete at the highest national level. Held at J.N. Burnett Secondary School, the Championships will showcase high-performance Goalball, a sport uniquely designed for athletes who are blind or partially sighted, highlighting the skill, strategy, and teamwork of Canada’s top athletes.

Blind Hockey BC Cup

The 2026 Canadian Blind Hockey BC Cup will take place May 16–17 at the Richmond Olympic Oval, as part of the ACHIEVE Stream of the inaugural OneAbility Games.

The event will provide a great opportunity for West Coast athletes to compete at home while helping raise awareness of Blind Hockey across British Columbia. The tournament will highlight the growth of the sport and support the continued development of programs such as the Vancouver Eclipse, the Junior Eclipse, and the new Victoria Blind Hockey program that launched in fall 2025.

How to Register

ACHIEVE Stream athletes qualify and register through their sport organization.

Competitive athletes of sports not featured in 2026 are encouraged to volunteer to support younger participants in the PLAY Stream. Your experience is invaluable to the Games!
