Community Engagement Coordinator

Jessica Kruger brings a powerful combination of lived experience, community leadership, and a passion for inclusion to her role as Community Engagement Coordinator for the OneAbility Games. With over 17 years of experience as a disability advocate, Jessica is deeply committed to building more accessible and inclusive spaces and opportunities.

A graduate of Simon Fraser University with a BA and a certificate in Creative Writing, Jessica began her work in education through the Friends of Simon program, teaching literacy to newcomer students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Her passion for community engagement has extended to impactful roles with organizations such as BC Wheelchair Sports, Spinal Cord Injury BC, and as an ambassador and speaker for WorkSafe BC and the Rick Hansen Foundation.

Jessica is also a longtime athlete and proud member of the BC Wheelchair Rugby Team, competing at a provincial level for over 16 years. Her lived experience and leadership have made her a strong voice in the disability community, and a driving force behind the inclusive spirit of the OneAbility Games.
